Cooler Master has announced a new SF series of cooling fans, which utilizes a square frame instead of a circular one. The fans join to the existing MasterFan lineup, aiming to strike a balance between producing airflow and static pressure.

There are currently three variants in the Square Fan (SF) series, including SF120R RGB, SF120R ARGB and SF360R ARGB. The only difference between the two SF120R fans is the support for 12V RGB or 5V Addressable RGB. Both of them are 120 mm fans, which can spin from 650 RPM to 2000 RPM, controlled via PWM. Cooler Master claims they can create airflow of about 59 CFM and static pressure of 2.1 mmH2O. They have a rated MTBF of 160,000 hours, as well as a 2-year warranty.

The SF360R ARGB is a rather special product, which implements three 120 mm fans into a single frame. It simply looks like strapping three SF120R fans together, and you can install the whole assembly to the PC case at once. This should also make mounting the SF360R ARGB to a radiator much easier.

The RGB lighting is compatible with major motherboard manufacturers’ software, such as ASUS Aura Sync, ASRock Polychrome Sync, GIGABYTE Fusion 2.0 and MSI Mystic Light Sync.

The new SF series fans are now available for purchase worldwide. The SF120R RGB version costs $19.99 USD (MSRP), while the ARGB version costs $24.99 USD (MSRP). The SF360R ARGB is priced at $64.99 (MSRP).
