Razer has announced the overhauled 17-inch Blade Pro gaming laptop with a new chassis and much better internal hardware. It has been 2 years after the Blade Pro received its last update in February 2017.

The new Blade Pro 17 is now more compact than last generation. Razer claims it to be up to 25% smaller than other 17-inch gaming laptops in the market. The display has a resolution of 1920×1080 and 300 nits of brightness, sized at 17.3 inches diagonally with minimal side bezels (6.0 mm). It is capable of running at 144 Hz and covering 100% of the sRGB color space.

There will only be one choice for the processor. Every model is equipped with an Intel 9th Generation Core i7-9750H CPU, with 6 cores and 12 threads. It has a base clock of 2.6 GHz and can turbo up to 4.5 GHz. Cooling it is the new vapor chamber cooling system and multi-fan design. 16 GB of DDR4-2667 RAM are standard, but can be upgraded to 64 GB with support for Intel XMP overclocking. For mass storage, you can choose from a 512 GB to 2 TB PCIe NVMe SSD. The machine also packs a lot of power for the GPU, which can have either a NVIDIA RTX 2060, RTX 2070 Max-Q or RTX 2080 Max-Q.

Other useful features from the Blade Pro 17 are Windows Hello-compatible webcam, Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) and a built-in Realtek 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet port.

The standard Blade Pro 17 will be priced at $2499 USD (MSRP) and be available for purchase in May 2019.
