With the launch of AMD’s 3rd generation Ryzen processors and X570 motherboards, more PCIe 4.0 compatible products start appearing in the market. GIGABYTE and Corsair have already releases their PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSDs. Now, GALAX decides to join the party with the HOF Pro SSD.

Identical to any other PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSDs at the moment, the HOF Pro is equipped with the Phison PS5016-E16 controller and 3D NAND flash from Toshiba. It is claimed to be able to reach sequential read/write speeds at 5000 MB/s and 4400 MB/s respectively. For random operations, the SSD can achieve up to 750,000 IOPS and 700,000 IOPS for read and write.

To cool the components onboard, the HOF Pro uses a CNC-machined aluminum heatsink. There is an actual copper heatpipe to transfer heat between the NAND flash/memory controller to the heatsink.

Pricing and availability have yet been revealed.
