Apart from the Project Scarlett, Microsoft also announced an updated Xbox Elite 2 controller over the existing Xbox Elite controller in E3 2019.

Now more ELITE than ever

Microsoft claims to have completely redesigned the internals of the Xbox Elite 2 controller.

The thumbsticks now have adjustable springs for changing the tension to improve precision. The hair trigger locks have been shortened to increase responsiveness, allowing users to fire faster in games. You can switch between three profiles, depending on the types of games and personal preferences.

The Xbox Elite 2 controller now sports a USB Type-C port for charging and connection, as well as Bluetooth capability. A 3.5 mm headphone jack is still present for plugging in gaming headsets. The internal rechargeable battery can last for up to 40 hours. The controller will work with Xbox One and Windows PC.

The Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 will start shipping in November 2019. It is now available for pre-order for $179.99 USD (MSRP) at Microsoft’s website.
